Is it possible to raise funding with an LLC?
The ownership, operations and management of the LLC are governed by a written Operating Agreement among its owners that is not required to be publicly filed or disclosed to the Delaware Division of Corporations. As a result, an LLC allows the ability to create a customised management structure, which prescribes the relationship among owners. To summarise the ownership, raising of funds etc is handled internally in the LLC’s agreement.
Traditionally if looking to raise funds we do see clients use a corporation vs an LLC.
